Edu-kit Rentals

What are "Edu-Kits?"

The Friends of Banff National Park have a lending and teaching program that will introduce you to one of our three traveling trunks of interpretive fun! Known as "Edu-kits", each trunk comes with a variety of books, audiovisual resources, skulls, slideshow, pelts, and tracks. A manual of teaching ideas supports Alberta curriculum topics (included in each trunk), for grades 4-9 Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, and CTS.

The Friends of Banff have three Edu-kits available for rent, a Bear, Elk, and Wolf edu-kit. A Snail edu-kit is also currently in development. The kits are entirely self-contained and designed to be shipped by bus.

Another Edu-kit is currently in development. This kit features the incredible, one and only, amazing Banff Springs Snail! The Banff Springs Snail is a one of a kind snail that is only found right here in Banff National Park. These marvelous snails make their home right in the thermal hot springs on Sulphur Mountain.
