The goals of the program are to patrol the secondary roadways in Banff National Park looking for potential or existing bear jams and deal with them as per warden protocols; to reduce habituation of bears; and to increase park visitors' knowledge of Banff's bears through informal roadside presentations and educational displays at day-use areas and at bear jams.
