You will have to negotiate a small cliff band, which requires that you down-climb through an obvious but steep break in the rock. In early spring, the trail can be covered in snow or ice. Cory Pass is often a very cold and windy place - be prepared.
Things You'll See
Cory Pass is considered by many the most spectacular hike along the Bow Valley Parkway and one of the most strenuous in the park. The views are spectacular, highlighted by the towering slabs of grey limestone that form the east face of Mount Louis. If you are extra-adventurous, close the loop passing through Gargoyle Valley and Edith Pass - 13 km round trip.
